I uploaded the program READ6530 to funet some time ago.  I don't know
where it ended up.  It will copy the contents of the 6530 ROM to a disk
file.

The number of sectors on a track is defined by a paramater table in DOS.  
There is no difference in the drive mechanism itself.

The 2040/3040 has 20 sectors on tracks 18-24.  The 4040 has 19.  The
reason given for the change was that 20 sectors did not leave enough of a
gap between the last sector and the first one.
