2031 vs. 2031LP

Hallo,

I have a question about the single drive IEEE488 disk drives
2031 and 2031LP.

The 2031LP basically is a VC1541 with a parallel IEEE488
interface instead of the serial IEC bus.

But what about the "high profile" 2031 with the old-style
drive? Is it similar to the 2031, or is it more similar
to the 4040 in that it is a dual drive (incl. two
processors) with only one disk drive mech? That would be the
same concept as the 1001, that is "half of" a 8250,
with only a single mechanics.

Anyone knows?
Thanks
Andre
