There are those Sub-D adaptor housings, that have a space for a small circuit
board. The one that would fit the two connectors best is the dual 9pin
adaptor, but it's circuit board space is *very* small. Its size would be
something like 15mm wide and 40mm long. The card edge connector should also
fit pretty well, if the space that is normally used for the D-Sub mounting
holes is used as board space, and then the six contact are soldered there.
