It looks like a normal SFD1001 controller board without modifications. The adaptor board for the 6530 is also standard on all SFD1001 that I have seen so far. The 8250LP controller has a similar adaptor board, but mechanically different. All 8x50 series drives (including the SFD) have two 6502 CPUs instead of the 6502/6504 combo of the lower density x040 drives. I don't think there was a technical reason, maybe only availability of the chip.

the drive mechanism also looks like a standard SFD1001 unit. Probably one of the many power supplies in the machine is also the original SFD supply.
