But USB also gives you network, SCSI and IDE, not
to mention a huge range of peripherals (digital camera? printers?)
and takes up far less space and wiring, which should make for
a more compact & cheaper device.  My desk is crowded enough already!
Once it was working, you could even drop the PS2 mouse and keyboard ports..
