IMHO the 50 Hz has no influence on the sound, it only influences the RTC
inside the 6526 as this one expects a 60 HZ signal. The sound can sound
faster indeed as a NTSC C64 is slightly faster then a PAL one.

Should not. But it is known that the expansionbus of the SX is a bit
unreliable due to unshielded lines and a small powersupply.

And this is the main reason why I would NOT change it; this is more then
simple soldering IMHO. Unless you have a specific reason that it should be
PAL.
