Ok, so that's not something exclusive to HP instruments as I assumed. Is that
regularly sent by the PET, maybe when a IEEE488 file is CLOSEd in basic?
If that is already being sent by CLOSE or whatever, then it just doesn't do
anything visible to the instrument. I was expecting it would release the
instrument from 'remote' status, but it may be it requires the specific command
to release the front panel.
In any case, I still need to work out a way to send specific bus commands to the
peripheral.
