Given the relative limited number of enthusiast Commodore users around
the world, I can't see what is wrong with requiring them to build or
_modify_ an existing cable, something like
"Get yourself a standard null-modem cable, but make sure to cut the
following lines, as they will damage your computer if connected:"
Since there might be a difference in wiring on ready-made serial cables
anyway, I think telling the user to hack your own cable sounds just as
good as trying to find a ready-made cable exactly matching the specs.
(of course, if you are a Commodore hater, maybe you don't mind
connecting +5V between two machines and see which dies first ;-)
