Mapping the C128

Hej allihopa!

Not really a CBM-hacking question per se, but I thought you guys would
be the most qualified to advise me on this.

To remedy the lack of C128 programming info available on the net, I've
scanned (not OCRed, just images) and made a PDF of my copy of Compute!'s
Mapping the Commodore 128, and I'd like to make it available for download.

I searched the net for the author, Ottis R. Cowper, hoping he would give
me permission to do this. I found a recent email address to someone I
have good reason to believe is him. I mailed him a few days ago and
asked him to contact me, but so far he hasn't replied.

What do you think I should do? Upload the PDF to my site and then remove
it if he doesn't give me permission? Wait until he replies and then
upload it if he is OK with that? Not give a damn about whether he
approves or not?

It's a very good book which is not that easy to get hold of (I got mine
on an Australian ebay auction) so it would be a shame if people wanting
to program the C128 can't have access to it.
