well, that's one of the secondary reasons I'm not bidding myself...
(biggest is I'd rather get a dual CPU Macintosh G5 for less than
the buy-it-now price!)
OTOH, I'm pretty sure that the only c64 I've ever fried was when
I was attempting a hardware project ;)
