Imagine if you bought this sucker for a couple grands (KiloEurons), and then the video or/and the audio chip went bust. No replacement, no happiness. It has even a custom disk controller chip... All in all, it seems like a risky proposition.
In terms of rare and collectable electronic items, I very much like the Minimoog: it's a very old synth (1970) which you can still repair today, since all the components were/are generic bipolar transistors or generic op-amps.
