I'm total confused now....

I can control device to do either high or low operation, but when its not
doing any thing it is easiet for me to drive it high (LPT port data bits
default that way). Which means I need the Serial bus to work normally....

So is the circuit below correct or wrong? (I always have to build things
twice when working with diodes as logic.....)
