Of course it is possible to temporarily install it and remove it afterwards.
Anyway, as we all know, we forget things very fast... ;-)

For using SC, I more suggest using a DOS boot disk. It's even possible to 
write to the disc, so there's even no problem with FAT32, NTFS or so.
