look at the Petindex. It will tell you that the 40xx was built in two
versions, one like a (ROM-)upgraded 3032, and another (the fat-40)
as a "down"graded 8032 (the "universal" board).
Depending on this there also are different cases (9" vs. 12" screen) for
example.
