This is getting off-topic, but that reminds me of my Data General 21"
fixed-sync (75 kHz/70 Hz) colour monitor from 1986 or so, which I acquired
in 1996 or so. I used to speak in the phone in front of that monitor. If
I moved the handset (a non-wireless Ericsson Diavox) closer than 10 cm
from the monitor, the remote party asked, "what is that noise?" I
couldn't observe any changes in the colours. That monitor has a decent
demagnetizer coil, though.
