I'm not sure how to interpret the above sentence. But it triggered the next
idea (and it could be what you meant):
could the DMA of the REU be used to DMA data from a 1.44 MB floppy to your
C64/128?
The point is that the 1.44 MB cannot deliver the data at 1 MB/sec so a
mechanism must be involved in the new REU that accepts external triggers.
