Yes, it is called PC :)

If you're looking for a kind of box, I haven't seen one and I also can give
you a reason for it. Nowadays VGA-monitors simply cannot handle the "low"
frequencies outputted by most older computers. The old NEC-Multisync could
but hard to find. And if you find one, it most probably is "worn" out.

So you need a kind of intelligent converter. That will cost money. And there
probably is no market for it. My only personal reason I would like to have
such a converter is to save place. But not at all costs.

So the best alternative is a PC-TV card with video input.
