Nowadays VGA-monitors simply cannot handle the "low" frequencies outputted by most older computers. The old NEC-Multisync could but hard to find. And if you find one, it most probably is "worn" out. So you need a kind of intelligent converter. That will cost money. And there probably is no market for it. My only personal reason I would like to have such a converter is to save place.
