To be more specific, I used to think that a DMA only could be initiated by
the DREQ-lines. Reading about memory-to-memory transfer I found out that
that isn't always needed. I just wondered if an I/O <-> memory DMA tranfer
could be initialised by software as well.

For the moment I'm already thrilled if I can attach my old 200 MB HD. Once I
have my interface, I can look how to use the features of these type of HD's.
