Yes, this is also the case with C64, when beginning to expand it markedly.
:) That's where internal expansions (like your board) have an advantage. If
everything is stuffed in expansion port, a table expansion would be needed
sooner or later...

So, to keep these postings more relevant, my suggestions for the board: Many
people here have requested many fancy things (IDE, SCSI, USB, etc...), but
I'd say that it's best to keep it simple, maybe just have some kind of
expansion port for future hardware (the "geek-port" you mentioned earlier
sounds like it.) Anyway the most important thing is to make it a working
video adaptor/accelerator, there are bunch of hackers around who can add
their own expansions...
