The 8500 is HMOS not CMOS.

The 6510 is NMOS.

Yes, makes no difference, there are some 250425 boards that came with an 
8500R3 from the factory. Later they switched back to the 6510 and the 
250469 boards then came with the 8500 in Revision 4.
