Yes. If you are just going to use it for loading software from your PC,
then some kind of freeze cartridge with
https://www.mpja.com/download/ch376ds1.pdf hooked up to IO port should
be pretty workable & cheap.

Actually DMA'ing is a pain and you still need to figure out what you're
DMA'ing from.
