The flash chip only wants to see a activation sequence (something like accessing a sequence of addresses in the flash ROM) to be switched into write mode. I think that you have to be careful not to use those indexed addressing modes that would cause extra reads of the target address. >I know that Marko Mäkelä wrote a flash program for the VIC 20, so maybe >he would know. It was a long time ago, and I do not even know if I still have that hardware, or if I gave it to Ruud or silverdr along with most of my computer collection, back in 2008 or 2009. I only kept a few C64, C128 and Vic-20. Which address range does my Vic-20 flasher use again? BLK5? I am rather sure that I tested it with a blank flash chip. I do not remember that I would have actually used the flash board for anything else than writing the software. Best regards, MarkoReceived on 2021-03-02 19:00:03
