Flashing C64 kernal with Nicolas Welte's Universal 6502 RAM/ROM Expansion

Hi,

I wrote to Nicolas Welte's old x1541.de email address but I don't know if
it's still in use, so I thought I'd ask here too.

I have one of his Universal 6502 RAM/ROM expansions in a VIC 20. Does
anyone know if it is possible to put a blank AT29C010Ain the FLASH ROM
socket and program it with a couple of alternate C64 ROM images? Or is this
only possible with the 1541 version of the expander?

I know that Marko Mäkelä wrote a flash program for the VIC 20, so maybe he
would know. Or is Nicolas still on this list?
