PET keyboards and related ROM sets

Hy!

In the past couple days i have played around with fixing some things in VICE
that are related to the PET keyboard... in particular i tried to create a
somewhat working keymap :)

anyway, it's still a bit confusing to me, so please read the following and
correct whats wrong:

- there are basically two fundamentally different PET keyboards:
1) the "graphics" keyboard, which is used on the "small" models, up to 4032
2) the "business" keyboard, which is used on the "big" models, 8032 and up
(this refers to the keyboard matrix, "graphics" keyboard includes the very

now, the "business" keyboard exists in several localized versions. for those
you will need "editor" ROMs that match the respective keyboard variant.

now the confusion (and my questions) begins :)
- what about charsets? will you need other chargen ROM too? (my guess is yes,
of course)
- where can i find detail info on the matrix values of the localized keys? all
i found so far is http://www.6502.org/users/andre/petindex/keyboards.html
- where can i find the actual ROMs? i found "some" on zimmers.net: http://
www.zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/cbm/firmware/computers/pet/index.html but this
does not look complete, or the info on what is what is missing. i would
atleast like to see the right ROMs for the "US", german and japanese keyboards
... but anything else will be fine of course
