But doesn't the UltiMax memory configuration in the C64 have 4 kilobytes
of RAM ($0000-$0fff)?  Or maybe the Commodore engineers thought that the
64 would be compatible enough; it wouldn't be necessary to map the
addresses $0800-$0fff to $0000-$07ff.

By the way, I'm going to Berlin for a few days (7th through 11th October).
I noticed that Schaltungsdienst Lange, the place where our extremely bad
copy of the UltiMax schematics originates, has an office there.  I'll try
to visit them and to see what else they have than the VC-10 schematics.
