Interesting and valid story. I personally thought the issue is that the rights and different copyrights aren't globally the same. I thought this was part of the reason the commodore phone and the new c64 mini are available outside of the USA and eventually trickle in. Claonto definitely likes to say they own the rights but i thought that was only ROMs and maybe Amiga although recently I know they've released commodore stuff as well.
