Nowadays I'd recommend a PI1541 instead. It seems like the price is
comparable and the PI1541 is an accurate 1541 emulation while the
SD2IEC is just a generic IEC device (although it emulates a bunch of
common fast loaders). For what it is the SD2IEC is great but when you
can get a PI1541 for a similar price you might want that instead as
you'd be able to run the more demanding demos (and games) that fail
with the SD2IEC.
