Is it just me who's bad at reading, or is the component list / BOM
missing? (Most if not all components are mentioned at various places
and the old german page might also have a BOM, but still...).

That would really be great.

Side track: If you do this, do you think it would be reasonably
possible to make a version which uses a simple Arduino as the I/O
interface? I think that would be great as those are readily available
while anything else has to be ordered and for the XS1541 you also need
to be able to solder SMD devices which can be a problem for some of us
old buffs with out-of-date soldering equipment and/or not that great
eyes.
