All eight of my PET 2001-8s are different variations; some subtle, some major but they all have a chicklet keyboard and a tape drive (except for one that was modified to add an aftermarket keyboard but it's easily reversed). I need to take some better pics to highlight the differences. My earliest PET 2001-8 is serial number 10051 (number 51) and this unit is somewhat different from serial number 10171 which is not that far off. Differences include a solder maskless motherboard, a different early analog board in the monitor section and a folding "kickstand" in the earliest. The later one has the normal kickstand we all know and love and the normal early motherboard. From 10171 to 10895 PETs went from black bezel to blue somewhere in that range. Anyway, it is on my list to document each of them with pictures. They are definitely one of my personal favorites too.
