I checked  the super pet schematics... the 6502 and 6809 are almost 
connected wire to wire....

apparently for the 6809 clock  they are using phi0 (for E) and they are 
using 74LS123 for Q

it seems that the super pet 6809 is running with 1 Mhz clock instead of 4


mod69 for the sym1 include a quartz... I'll check the SYM1 schematics

I guess they have found a way to synchronize  the clocks...
