you most probably mean the XA1541 or XM1541 cable? I would not recommend
them anymore. Instead, buy a ZoomFloppy, as Marc Honey suggested, too.

Why? Because parallel ports are getting scarce. If you have one, chances
are that is is connected via PCI, PCIe or similar, which increases the
chances that it will not work.

If you add a parallel port via USB, it will definitely not work. Stay
away from these!

The ZoomFloppy is not much more expense, but a much better choice and
much more reliable. It is attached to USB.

If you do not want to spare so much money, the XU1541 might be something
for you instead. Note, however, that it has its limitations, too. For
example, it seems to have problems with USB 3.0 ports. Additionally,
parallel transfers are not possible, which makes it rather slow.
Additionally, you cannot use burst nibbling to preserve your originals.

Personally, I would get a ZoomFloppy, no matter what.
