Hi, you are right, the software was not correctly releasing the keys at
keyUP

And the mapping is bad, I tried to find the correct mapping in Vice source
as 

Suggested by Andre, but it's huge and I've not found anything


The C116 is working perfectly, the problems comes from my interface.

If you press RUN/STOP on a 264 during power up or a reset, you will end up
in the monitor, so it could be a keyboard problem. This feature seems to be
meant as a replacement for the RESTORE key on the C64.

I also had that problem with a partially dead ROM once.

Do you have another 264? If yes, try the ICs from the C116 there one by one.
