Hi!

There was another company building hardware that would allow Shugart
drives to be used with PETs. The name of the company was CGRS Microtech. One
product they produced was a board that plugged into the side of a PET and had
sockets for S-100 boards. You could then plug almost any S-100 board into
their board. I still have a working 8K PET that has a 32K S-100 memory board
and an SD Systems S-100 Versafloppy disk controller board controlling a pair
of Shugart 8 inch drives. Later, this company produced a small board that
plugged into one of the ROM sockets into which you plug a pair of 5.25 inch
Shugart floppies.
