SP/DIF is -way- to fast for a 1-MHz processor to process. Please remember
that 44.1 Khz stereo 16-bit data implies -at least- a 44.1 Khz * 2 * 16 =
about 1.4 Mbit/s data stream.

Which means that you'll have to monitor two different lines, which
might be a bit tight as well.

Then again: If you'd use the left signal as a data-line, and right
as clock..
