The databecker book concerning the 1541 was titled like '1541 Internals' and it wasn't a good book, IMHO. 'Inside Commodore DOS' was a book written by Datamost and is authored by Immers and Neufeld and is the 'bible' on 1541 drive programming. I'm not sure there are etext versions of those books.
