A look at the schematics looks like your described user port connector
makes sense:
CA2 - VIDEO
PA0 - SRQ
PA1 - EOI
PA2 . DIAG - GND
#1 READ - #1,2 WRITE - #2 READ
PA6 - VSYNC
PA7 - HSYNC

I will give it a try.
