The problem is that for high quality output you need high quality tooling process. Only then off-tool results are better than a 3D printed ones ;-)

Those things cost. I doubt you can substantially bring the unit price down unless you produce (and sell!) (tens of) thousands of them so that you can have your tooling at least broken even.
