Thank you, I will keep that in mind. I have also access to slow SRAM
chips so I can also try this route :-)

The /EXRAM line also comes from the PLA, so maybe that's how they make
this stuff work without gating the R/W signal. Interesting problem
actually - I will pay attention to this.
