BASIC7, definitely!

Has it ever been ported to the C64?

What no votes for porting the Plus/4's "3+1" software? ;-)

I think BASIC7 would be my choice. For sheer impressiveness I'd say what about GEOS?! (is it even feasible?)

    Subject: Multi-ROM built, what now?

    Hallo allemaal,

Yesterday I sent an email from home but this morning I didn't see it in my box. So once again...

I finished building the hardware enabling me to choose a ROM combination. This can be done using an extra 6522. This also means I can implement a ROM that needs more than the standard 16 KB using the paging method. But now the question: where can I use it for?

I have give it a thought myself and had some ideas but none that brought me in the "YES !!!" mood:
    - using the experience I have with 1541IDE to couple a harddisk directly to a VIC-20.
    - a Pascal or C interpreter/compiler instead of of BASIC
    - integrating BASIC 7.0
    - LUnix or André's GeckoOS

I'm also busy with soldering an ISA interface so the software for coupling a harddisk directly to a VIC-20 has to be programmed anyway but then I will use the memory available on the ISA bus. As I will use a 65816 as well, no paging needed.

So your input is more then welcome !!!

Then especially for Boisy: where can I get your PCB? The VIC-20 has a 6502 so replacement shouldn't be a problem. TIA!
