Ah thx great - I just took the statement for granted - I haven't checked 
the g64 reading capabilities in VICE for a while.

Are all the Kryoflux/SPS changes imported into VICE trunk ?

If that is the case then I'll  assume that silverdr@... is running an 
older version of VICE - 2.4 most likely and not a trunk edition.
