Hallo Ted,

> I have a lot of ideas. ...

The reason I asked was an idea I had: I have expanded a VIC-20 up to 56 KB of RAM. 24 KB are RAM-under-ROM, like the C64, from $A000 to $FFFF. I added a 6522, available at $9100. But so far I only needed 3 pins. I also had the idea of adding FlashRAM, a 29F010 that can hold eight _sets_ of ROMs. The first idea was using (dip)swithes or jumpers to select the wanted set. Then I got the idea to use the 6522 as well. Set #7 (= no jumpers/switches set) will contain a menu that gives you the change to choose a set: original, JiffyDOS etc. And the jumpers/switches can still be used in case of a hurry.
But why should we stick to BASIC? Why not reserving 2, 3 or more sets for something complete different?

I am building an ISA bus expansion for the C64 as well and decided to add this idea to this project as well.

Anyway, if interested, the pages for these projects with the complete description plus photos of the boards will be uploaded this weekend. I let you know!

> I would need more interested people though,

Count me in :)
