Hallo allemaal,


I ran into a weird problem. One of signals was written down as:

	IO    = A23 # A22 # A21 # A20 # A19 # A18 # A17 # !A16;

That caused the error: "excessive number of product terms". Quite strange as 1) there are no product terms, just OR, and 2) it had only eight terms while some of my signals had even nine. If I ommited this faulty line, these 9-terms ones compiled fine. 
Then I got the "bright" idea to write it down as: 

	IO    = !(!A23 & !A22 & !A21 & !A20 & !A19 & !A18 & !A17 & A16);

And things compiled fine!

Another thing that makes it weird: the above signal is a copy used in another design and there it worked fine. But that was a GAL22V10, now I used a GAL20V8.

I just wanted to share it with you as a small lesson of life :)
