RE: 1570 disk drive DEVICE NOT PRESENT ERROR

Does the drive start up normally for the rest, that is: the motor runs
for a second and the drive LED tuns off as well?  If that is the case
and it was a 1541 I would recommend to replace the buffers at the IEC
bus: the 7406 and 7414. But right now I have no schematics at hand and
cannot tell if the 1570 uses the same circuit. But if it does, check
those out.
