Probably better to ask this on the opencbm-user list. However, I think you need libusb-legacy dependency installed in order for the plugin to access the xu/xum1541.

Unfortunately, the opencbm interface dynamically looks up libusb at runtime, and there's not a clear message if it's not found. Instead, the plugin search just continues to the next plugins, which don't exist.
