MTAP (http://markus.brenner.de/) works great.

MTAP can be run i various setup configurations:
* datasette attached to PC.

* datasette attached to C64 with TAPSERV.PRG running. C64 is attached to 
PC. (I've only used this setup).

* etc...

Take a look at the README.TXT inside the MTAP package.
