COMMODORE ROM PROJECT

I was wondering if there was an established ROM project for Commodore
computers.

Something that has the compileable source with updates and mods for
download? 
If not would there be any interest in something like that?

I would like a ROM that sets the default device to the disk instead of
cassette, auto boot a file on startup, ect.
