Zoom floppy is for connecting devices like a 1541 to a pc. Not a computer to
a PC.

For drive emulation you will need a X1541, XA1541 or XE1541 Serial to
Parallel printer cable and run
HDD64 on True MS-DOS Operating System not Windows to emulate a commodore
compatible
serial hard drive. Generally, the newer the PC the harder is it to get
working.

I thought there was some sort of software on PC to emulate the floppy disk
And permit access from the commodore to the PC through the zoomfloppy.

The ZoomFloppy firmware does not currently support emulating a floppy drive.
It acts as a host to access files on a real floppy drive. You can get a uIEC
or other drive option if you want something that emulates a floppy drive.
