Here is a link to some useful stuff.  There's a zip file in this directory with a program that will make an sfd-1001 think it's a 8050, which will work on a 8250.  Just type in the program, run it, and you'll be in business.  The only trick will be to open the .prg file someplace first, such as a C64.
