I have done it with OpenCBM (PC) <-> XU1541 <-> IEC2IEEE <-> SFD1001:

D:\opencbm\i386>cbmctrl reset

D:\opencbm\i386>cbmctrl status 11
73,cbm dos v2.7,00,00,0

D:\opencbm\i386>cbmctrl dir 11
0 ."test " 00 2c
4133 blocks free.
00, ok,00,00,0

D:\opencbm\i386>cbmctrl lock

D:\opencbm\i386>cbmctrl open 11 2 "TEST,P,W"

D:\opencbm\i386>cbmctrl write morse.exe

D:\opencbm\i386>cbmctrl close 11 2

D:\opencbm\i386>cbmctrl dir 11
0 ."test " 00 2c
1 "test" prg
4132 blocks free.
00, ok,00,00,0

D:\opencbm\i386>cbmctrl unlock

D:\opencbm\i386>cbmctrl status 11
00, ok,00,00,0

D:\opencbm\i386>cbmctrl pcommand 11 s0:test

D:\opencbm\i386>cbmctrl status 11
01, files scratched,01,00,0

D:\opencbm\i386>cbmctrl dir 11
0 ."test " 00 2c
4133 blocks free.
00, ok,00,00,0

D:\opencbm\i386>

As you can see, the drive number is still "0".

HTH,
Spiro.
