Thanks! Impressive. Back in the day I was aligning drives for people all the
time. It sounds like commodore finally got it right. What type of drives do
you have? Btw, I have exhausted Google but not comp.sys.cbm. I've found tons
of alignment/speed info on the original 1541's. just not the 1541 II and
1541C.

It may sound a bit weird but I haven't any idea for the simple 
reason I never had alignment or speed problems. And if I have, I 
will try Google and comp.sys.cbm first.
